Joint Military Exercises Involving Russia, Iran, and China; Azerbaijani Representatives to Attend

Russia, Iran, and China will commence joint naval military exercises named 'Maritime Security Zone 2024' on March 12. This information was reported by IRNA.

The exercises will take place in the northern Indian Ocean and will involve the naval forces of Iran, China, and Russia. Representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Oman, Pakistan, and the People's Liberation Army will also be present at the exercises.

The objectives of the exercises are to strengthen security in the region, including the protection of international maritime trade, to enhance multilateral cooperation among participating countries, to combat piracy and terrorism, to exchange operational and tactical experiences, and to demonstrate the capabilities of nations in 'jointly maintaining global peace.'
