Israeli Airstrike Hits Residential Building in Lebanon, 5 Dead

An Israeli airstrike on a residential building in southern Lebanon has resulted in the deaths of five individuals and injured at least nine others. This was reported by the Lebanese NNA news agency and relayed by RIA Novosti.

According to the agency, Israeli Air Force fighter jets fired two 'Air-to-Ground' missiles at a house located in the Hirbat Salem area, leading to the complete destruction of the building. Five civilians were killed, and at least nine individuals, including residents of neighboring homes, were injured. All injured have been hospitalized.

Earlier, Tzahal had reported that on Sunday night, the Israeli air force targeted Hezbollah infrastructure in the Aita ash Shab area of southern Lebanon, as well as an anti-tank missile launch site in the Marun al-Ras region and a military facility in Hirbat Salam.

On Thursday, the Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar, citing western diplomatic sources, reported that Israel has set March 15 as a deadline for political negotiations with Lebanon amid recent tensions and daily shelling along the border between the two countries.
