Video: Gangs Attack Presidential Palace in Haiti
Gangs in Haiti have attacked the presidential palace in the capital, Port-au-Prince. This was reported by ABC News. According to sources from law enforcement, on March 8, local gangs launched a large-scale assault on several government buildings in central Port-au-Prince and its surroundings.
Additionally, they attacked the Ministry of Internal Affairs building and a police station. Gunfire and explosions were heard throughout the city.
On March 5, armed groups in the capital attempted to seize the country's main international airport. Last week, Haitian authorities decided to impose a state of emergency and curfew in Port-au-Prince for three days due to clashes between armed gangs and the police.
