Details on the Collapse at the Former MP's Bottle Factory

The Ministry of Emergency Situations Rescue Service has released details regarding the collapse at a bottle factory. On March 9 at 14:26, the crisis management center of the Kotayk regional rescue department received a call reporting a sound of an explosion at a bottle factory in Abovyan, with victims confirmed.

A fire and rescue team from the regional rescue department, two rescue teams from the special operations center of the rescue services management, and an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center were dispatched to the scene.

It has been established that due to yet undetermined circumstances, a brick furnace collapsed in production area No. 2. Before rescuers arrived, two victims (V.K., born in 1990, and S.N., born in 1977) were transported to the Abovyan Medical Center.

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated an explosion-collapse at the former MP's bottle factory.
