Sweden to Join NATO Today

Sweden will officially join NATO today, March 7, becoming the alliance's 32nd member. This information was stated in a White House announcement.
Earlier on Tuesday, Hungarian President Tamas Schuyok signed the ratification of Sweden's membership to NATO. Hungary was the last NATO member country whose consent was required.
“Sweden will officially join the NATO alliance on March 7, 2024, and will become the 32nd ally,” the statement read.
