Macron Continues to Increase France's Level of Involvement in This War: Peskov
Russia's presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that French President Emmanuel Macron is increasingly raising Paris's involvement in military operations in Ukraine. His words were quoted by Pavel Zarubin, a correspondent for the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, on his Telegram channel. The information is reported by gazeta.ru.
"Macron continues to elevate France’s level of involvement in this war," he announced. According to Peskov, Macron's actions do not align with the interests of the French people.
On March 7, Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, stated that Macron's remarks about the possibility of sending NATO troops to Ukraine are related to the previous year's failed counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On February 26, a conference dedicated to the Ukrainian conflict took place in Paris, where the French president noted that one of the topics discussed was the potential for sending Western troops to Ukraine. Macron also stated during a meeting with opposition leaders that there are "no limitations" regarding support for Ukraine.
