Known How Close Zelensky Was to the Site of the Odessan Explosion

The explosion in Odessa occurred just 500 meters away from the convoy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This was reported by CNN, citing its sources. The information has been confirmed by gazeta.ru.

According to reporters, members of the convoy felt the impact and saw a "mushroom cloud" after the explosion. Dmitry Pletenchuk, a representative of Ukraine's naval forces, stated in an interview with CNN that both Zelensky and Mitsotakis were unharmed.

On March 6, during a meeting in Odessa between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, explosions occurred. At that moment, the politicians were inspecting the city's port and did not have time to enter a shelter.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a missile strike had been carried out in the Odessa industrial port area toward an hangar, where, according to the department’s information, unsafe maritime motor boats were being prepared for the Ukrainian army.
