Armenian Armed Forces Uniforms to Change as Part of Military Assistance from France
All experts predict that a threat of war looms over Armenia, yet instead of preparing for conflict, authorities are focused on a more serious matter: changing the uniforms of the Armed Forces of Armenia. This information was reported by the daily newspaper 'Zhoghovurd'.
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia is seeking to change the uniforms of soldiers in the Armenian army as part of military assistance linked to developing relations with Europe, specifically France. The reason for this change is that the current uniforms of the Defense Army have not been updated for a long time and have become easily accessible to anyone.
The new uniforms will be based on a French model which, according to some reports, will differ significantly both in appearance and quality from the previous uniforms.
'Zhoghovurd' reached out to the Defense Ministry to inquire about discussions with the French side regarding the uniform changes and what processes have been initiated. The ministry responded, stating: 'The studies of field uniforms from partner countries are still ongoing. Following the research, a competition will be announced in accordance with the legally established procedure to acquire the selected sample. Deliveries will be allocated to the personnel of the RA Armed Forces according to the schedule attached to the contracts signed as a result of the competition.'
It appears that the goal is set, but the final outcome is still not visible in the near future, the newspaper reports.
