We Don't Like It, and We've Said 'Enough' - Peskov

Russia will not tolerate interference in its life, internal affairs, and politics. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, according to РИА Новости.

“We will no longer tolerate interference in our lives, our internal affairs, our politics,” Peskov said.

He noted that Russia has said 'enough' to the political actions of certain countries that dictate how others should live. “There are surely some guys among you who have come from our friendly countries, and there are others who, unfortunately, call things by their names, naming them unfriendly. There are countries that consider it their right to dictate to others how to live. There are countries that see it as their right to plunder other countries, calling it cooperation, but in reality, it is not cooperation; it is a new colonialism, a new guise of it,” he added.

In his view, there are countries that want to impose their way of life on other nations while disparaging the way of life of others, calling it wrong and contrary to the ideals of democracy.

“We don't like it, and we said 'enough' to that years ago. Unfortunately, there are few countries on Earth that can say that. There are few countries that can genuinely say to themselves, 'we are a sovereign state,’” emphasized the press secretary of the head of state. He is confident that this is not related to the wealth, power, or strength of the country. It is related to the historical code of that country and the spirit of its people. “They are few, but they are a number of states, a number of countries—both small and large, and medium—that also want to live as they wish, who want to respect others and want to be sure that they are also heard and respected,” concluded Peskov.
