Video: 450 Packages of Marijuana, Powdery Substance, and Yellow Viscous Liquid Discovered

The criminal investigators of Stepanavan received operational information on February 29 that two young men were placing drugs in various locations in the city of Stepanavan using a Chevrolet Volt and filming the hiding places with their mobile phones.

After verifying the information, the police identified that the young men were currently placing drugs in an area known as the Dzoraget Gorge. Police teams hurried to the specified location, where they found the young men, arrested them on the spot with reasonable suspicion, and transported them to the Stepanavan police department.

The car was driven by a 37-year-old man residing on Khudyakov Street in Yerevan, and the passenger was also from the capital, a 29-year-old resident of Tsarav Aghbyur Street. They disclosed that there were approximately 150 grams of marijuana packages in the vehicle and admitted to placing about 30 similar packages in different hiding spots. Under the pressure of indisputable evidence, they also confessed that the packages were meant for sale via the Telegram application.

The vehicle was moved to a secured area. Criminal proceedings have been initiated. On March 1, during a search to verify the testimony, which involved officers from the Lori Regional Department, as well as services from Tashir and Tumanyan, one of the young men pointed out the hiding places of 25 marijuana packages in the Dzoraget Gorge area and 9 packages in the Alaverdi area.

In the framework of the criminal proceedings, a search was conducted on the car of the 37-year-old man on March 2. A total of 416 packages resembling marijuana of various sizes were found in the trunk and cabin, along with two containers of an energy drink containing a white powdery substance that resembled a drug, and 10 vials of yellow viscous liquid. Expert examinations have been appointed. The men from Yerevan have been arrested, and the circumstances of the case are being clarified.
