"Not Everyone's Relationship with Russia is Smooth": Armen Grigoryan
There is no pressure from the West. The relations with Russia have not been spoiled by anyone on Armenia's side, declared the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan.
According to him, they are often accused of damaging Armenia-Russia relations due to their government. “If we place it in a larger picture and try to understand whether Russia has strained its relations with other countries as well, we can see that there are many cases like Armenia's,” he noted.
Grigoryan pointed out that if a country has bad relations with many, then it is the problem of one person. “It is not true that Russia's relations are smooth with everyone,” he remarked.
He also emphasized, “There are attempts to accuse us of moving towards the West and supporting the West, while the strongest factor for the West is the war in Ukraine. As a result of the war in Ukraine, NATO has expanded, with Finland and Sweden at least joining, and the EU has become unified after the war in Ukraine. The US military industry is developing very intensively, also because of that war. NATO is the strongest. Now we can ask the question: are we strengthening the West, or are those who decided to carry out that war, and as a result of the war, the West has become much stronger? Pro-Westerners should be sought elsewhere, outside of Armenia.”
