Albert Hovhannisyan's Father Discusses the Hospital's Portrait Display

The portrait of Artsakh war hero Albert Hovhannisyan has been returned to its original location. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by Albert's father, Artak Hovhannisyan.
According to him, the director personally informed him that the plaque had been removed in September due to a misunderstanding and was only reaffixed elsewhere yesterday.

"There was a misunderstanding; they were not aware of the situation and did not know that this was a naming department, which is why the plaque was taken down. The director asked me for two months for the department to be returned to the second floor as it holds significance for us," he told the media.

Artak Hovhannisyan emphasized that he has no reason to distrust the director or throw mud at him. Albert's mother, Manik Ajemyan, also noted that the department was renovated in 2021 because it was named after Albert Hovhannisyan and that many servicemen have received treatment in this department.

"The director told us that if we wished, the plaque could be placed on the second floor in its previous location, while the plastic rehabilitation and micro-surgery department could be on another floor. We disagreed, stating that either the plaque would be given to us or the department would be returned to the second floor. They promised us that the entire department would be returned to the second floor in two months," the mother said.

It is noted that currently, the Gastroenterology and Hepatology service operates on the second floor of the 'Yerevan' Medical Center.
Previously, Yerevan City Council member Ashot Sargsyan stated that the portrait of Artsakh war hero Albert Hovhannisyan had not been removed from the wall of the plastic rehabilitation and micro-surgery department of the 'Yerevan' Medical Center.
