Hungarian President Signs Law Ratifying Sweden's NATO Membership

The President of Hungary, Tamas Szijjarto, has signed a law that ratifies Sweden's accession to NATO, western media reported on Tuesday, citing the Hungarian leader's office.

Thus, Hungary becomes the last NATO member to complete the ratification process. At the end of February, Hungarian parliamentarians voted in favor of ratifying the protocol for Sweden's NATO membership.

Following the completion of the remaining official procedures, the country will officially join NATO. It is expected that this will happen in the near future, the media notes.
