3 million drams stolen from a well-known supermarket in Yerevan: windows smashed, terminal broken

This morning, around 05:30, a call was received at the operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the "Parma" supermarket located on Aharyan Street in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district. It was reported that the glass doors of the supermarket had been smashed and the terminal inside had been broken.

Photoreporter Gagik Shamshyan reports that personnel from the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrived at the scene. Representatives from the Armenian Investigative Committee have also arrived in response to the alert.

It was determined that between 05:00 and 05:30, an unknown individual or individuals broke the glass door at the entrance of the "Parma" supermarket located at 1/6 Aharyan Street, removed a "Tel-Sel" payment terminal from inside, broke it, and stole the money held there, leaving the terminal at the scene.

A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident. According to Shamshyan's information, the supermarket's director, 33-year-old Arek N., informed the police and investigators that the store had suffered material damage, and that there was 3 million drams in the payment terminal.
