What is the Situation on Armenian Highways

The Rescue Service informs that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. Until March 5, due to road renovation works, the section of the M-6 highway near Vardzor-Alaverdi, between kilometers 38-40, will be closed for buses and heavy vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers. An alternate route will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and to Kari Lake are closed.

Regarding Larsi, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' Crisis Management Center from North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
