VIDEO: Definitely Poor People's Various Objects Have Not Been Demolished, Avinyan

In the area adjacent to Tatul Krpeyan Park, 8 unauthorized constructions have been demolished and 4 fences dismantled, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan reported during a regulatory meeting.

"Many different interpretations have been voiced. When we make difficult decisions regarding the return of public spaces, discussions start, asking why the rich are not targeted first. I want to remind that this process has been intensively underway since the end of 2022. I assure you that in the same Circular Park and the other areas where we have carried out demolition work, definitely poor people's various objects have not been demolished. When it comes to hectares of park and the demolition of various kiosks within the park, we are unwavering. There can be no compromise on this matter; only discussions on resolving the living situation of those people can take place," said Avinyan.
