Two Old Horses in a Race: Medvedev on the US Presidential Contest

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, has stated that the ongoing electoral race in the United States features "two old horses competing." This was reported by RIA Novosti.

"I think all the emphases there are clear... it's not a 'gray cardinal' but rather two old horses. By the way, I can't say that the furrows won't be spoiled, according to a Russian proverb, but they exist," Medvedev noted in response to a question about whether there are any gray cardinals among the candidates for the US presidency.

In his opinion, everyone has a chance to win, but if Donald Trump is not "finally jailed," then he could potentially be elected. "And speaking of Joseph Biden, he could also be elected. The main problem here is that at some point he must remember the day of the inauguration and what to do at that moment," said the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, which elicited laughter from the audience.
