Strong Earthquake Hits Almaty

A strong earthquake has struck the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, with warning systems activated immediately. This has been reported by Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Residents of Almaty felt the powerful tremors on Monday morning, leading many to rush into the streets.

The earthquake registered a magnitude of 5.2, with its epicenter located 37 km from Almaty and 8 km from Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul region. The tremors were felt in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and China.

A separate earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred in Kazakhstan.
