Greece Supports Peace Establishment Between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Opposes Any Military Action: Nikos Dendias
History unites us; we have gone through similar tragedies, persecution, and oppression. Our peoples have suffered together, having gone through genocide. This has created strong ties between Armenians and Greeks. This was stated by Greece's Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, during a joint press conference with the Armenian Minister of Defense.
“Today we are witnessing a situation where there is expansionism and violations of international treaties and UN principles. The entire global community should create a united front against these challenges. We must demonstrate our willingness to prevent the emergence of conflicts,” Dendias emphasized.
“During our discussions today, we considered various practical ways to develop bilateral relations. We have had discussions on bilateral military and technical cooperation, and we have signed military cooperation programs that will strengthen collaboration between the two countries in the defense sector. We anticipate successful, innovative achievements in the field of defense. We believe that the most important thing is peace. Greece supports the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Dendias added.
