France Releases List of Weapons Supplied to Kyiv
The French Ministry of Armed Forces has published a list of military aid provided to Ukraine during the two years of conflict with Russia. This information comes from the TASS agency.
The list, consisting of 50 items published on the French defense ministry's website, includes both defensive equipment and communication tools, as well as various armaments and drones. The data reflects the status as of December 31, 2023, prior to the signing of a bilateral security agreement between Paris and Kyiv.
Among the air defense systems highlighted as priorities for support to Kyiv, France has supplied two Crotale NG systems, six Mistral portable anti-aircraft missile systems, and one Franco-Italian SAMP/T air defense system by the end of 2023. Also mentioned in this section is the GM200 radar.
In terms of 'air-to-ground' munitions, the only system listed is the SCALP missile. The artillery section includes substantial contributions; by the end of 2023, Paris transferred 30 Caesar self-propelled howitzers, six retired TRF1 howitzers, four multiple rocket launchers, and ten 120mm mortars. Additionally, 30,000 rounds of ammunition for howitzers were supplied.
Other anti-tank systems supplied consist of 1,002 AT4 grenade launchers and three Milan anti-tank missile systems. By the end of 2023, France had delivered 38 AMX10 RC light armored tanks and 250 armored vehicles in combat or medical configurations, as well as 120 off-road vehicles and six trucks, with 9,000 rounds of ammunition designated for the AMX10 RC’s main gun.
In addition, the Ukrainian armed forces received 160 reconnaissance drones and ten detection devices, although the specific models of drones have not been detailed. Under the naval vessels section, only 30 Zodiac Futura inflatable boats are mentioned.
From the small arms category, the list includes 55 machine guns of 7.62mm caliber, 560 machine guns of 12.7mm caliber, 1,000 Famas rifles, and 20 sniper rifles. Over the two years, a total of 1.7 million rounds of 12.7mm ammunition, 1.1 million rounds of light small arms ammunition (including 9mm and 5.56mm calibers), as well as 10,500 grenades and 3,600 anti-tank mines have been supplied.
The remaining items on the list encompass fuel, protective gear (body armor, helmets), medical kits, as well as communication and navigation equipment.
