What Issues Did Hakan Fidan and Sergey Lavrov Discuss

The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Antalya, they discussed the situations in the Caucasus, the Black Sea, and Syria.

“There were many issues on the agenda, and besides bilateral cooperation, we discussed regional matters. We had the opportunity to address issues related to the peace process in the Caucasus (between Armenia and Azerbaijan) and also to discuss various ongoing processes related to security issues in the Black Sea. We also needed to address numerous questions regarding Syria. More time is required for that, but we managed to discuss the topic, and we agreed to allocate more time to it,” said Fidan.

It is worth noting that the ministers met on March 1 during the Diplomatic Forum held in Antalya. On the same day, Hakan Fidan also met with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to discuss the process of normalizing relations between the two countries.
