Video: Opening of Football Interbank Tournament Dedicated to Vazgen Sargsyan's 65th Anniversary

The opening of the football interbank tournament dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Vazgen Sargsyan took place today at the 'Republican' stadium named after the commander. This was reported by Sputnik Armenia.

During the event, the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia was performed by the Armed Forces band.

Currently, the football match between Ararat and BKMA (Central Sports Club of the Army) is underway, part of the 23rd round of the Armenian Premier League. The first symbolic pass was made by young volunteer Komitas Mikaelyan.

Attending the ceremonial opening and match were the Minister of Defense of Armenia Suren Papikyan, his deputy Arman Sargsyan, Vazgen Sargsyan's brother Aram Sargsyan, President of the Union of Volunteers Sasun Mikaelyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, President of the Football Federation of Armenia Armen Melikbekyan, as well as several military personnel.

It should be noted that Commander Vazgen Sargsyan was born on March 5, 1959, in Ararat.
