Two Individuals Detained for Visiting Upper Voskepar Area: Ter-Abrahamyan

Members of the "Combat Brotherhood" organization, Avetis Avetisyan (a participant in the 2020 war and former political prisoner) and Henrik Mkrtchyan have been detained at the Noyemberyan police department for visiting the Upper Voskepar area. This was reported on the Facebook page of publicist Hrant Ter-Abrahamyan.

“This area contains a firing range built jointly by the 'Combat Brotherhood' and 'Azataven' for training local community residents, as per a memorandum of cooperation signed between the Noyemberyan municipality and the Combat Brotherhood. Upper Voskepar was previously referred to as an Azerbaijani enclave within Armenian territory. It is situated above the village of Voskepar and holds a commanding position over the surrounding area,” stated Ter-Abrahamyan.

On Sunday, March 3, Avetis Avetisyan and Henrik Mkrtchyan entered the Upper Voskepar area, where they were met by police representatives. The police informed them that they did not have the right to enter the area,” he added, noting that following this, the deputy head of the Noyemberyan police department also arrived and insisted that the men leave the area, as their presence was illegal, after which they were escorted to the police department to establish the basis for the police's demand.
