Former Minister of Environment and Family Members Summoned by Illegal Asset Forfeiture Office

The Office of Illegal Asset Forfeiture within the General Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation regarding properties belonging to Aramais Grigoryan, former Minister of Agriculture and Environment and former Governor of Ararat, as well as his family members. A summary report has been prepared, and the former minister along with his wife, daughter, and son have been invited to the prosecutor's office to review the case materials. This was reported by Hetq.

As of the end of February 2024, a lien has been placed on the 50% ownership of Aramais Grigoryan in the “TEGAAR” LLC, as well as on all assets of the “Grigoryan Group” winery, since Aramais Grigoryan is the sole owner. On March 1, a lien was also placed on the former minister's 33% ownership in the “Caucasus” trading house LLC, prohibiting him from taking any actions related to the management of the company’s 33% share.

Notably, a lien has also been imposed on the “Mkhchyan” winery and cognac factory LLC, of which A. Grigoryan was the sole owner. However, this LLC was dissolved back on December 30, 2017. Since Aramais Grigoryan's son, Temur Grigoryan, and his wife, Alisa Grigoryan, are involved in the alleged illegal asset case, liens have also been placed on their 50% shares in the “Ararat Auto Station” and “Alina” LLCs.

There is no registered company in the state registry under the name of Aramais Grigoryan's daughter. It is noteworthy that, besides serving as a minister and governor, Aramais Grigoryan was also a member of the National Assembly. Before holding a government position, he was the director of a winery in Avshar.
