Lavrov on the Possibility of Direct Confrontation Between NATO and Russia

The statements made by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin regarding the possibility of direct confrontation between NATO and the Russian Federation in the event of Ukraine's defeat indicate that the U.S. has such a plan. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a diplomatic forum in Antalya, according to TASS.

"The essence of this statement is that if Ukraine loses, NATO will have to go against Russia. According to Freud, this has come out of their minds. After all, everyone was saying that we should not allow Ukraine to lose, because that way Putin will not calm down and will seize the Baltic States, Poland, and Finland. Thus, it turns out, Mr. Austin, the exact opposite is true. We do not have such plans and cannot have them, whereas the Americans do," explained the Russian Foreign Minister.
