Body of Woman Discovered in Canal Under Nor Hachn Bridge

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal investigation on charges of "murder" at the Nairi Investigation Department in Kotayk.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the investigation was launched following the discovery of a woman's body in the canal under the bridge in Nor Hachn on February 26.

On that day, around 10:30 PM, a report was received indicating that a woman's body was seen in the canal, prompting the need for rescue services to assist in retrieving it.

Before firefighters and rescuers arrived at the scene, local citizens managed to recover the body of 68-year-old G. A., a resident of Kotayk Province, from the canal.

The body was pulled from the canal using a network crane.
