What Programs Does the EU Have in Armenia: Vasilis Maraghos Shares Details
Members of the National Assembly's Permanent Committee on European Integration met with Vasilis Maraghos, the head of the European Union delegation in Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the National Assembly.
The meeting, held on February 29, was also attended by the Deputy Head of the RA National Assembly Staff, Hohine Khachikyan, and the Deputy Head of the Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation in Armenia, Syla Kasman.
Vasilis Maraghos presented various programs being implemented in Armenia with the support of the European Union, along with their progress. The ambassador noted with satisfaction that out of the €2.6 billion support package allocated for Armenia through the EU's economic and investment programs, €550 million has already been allocated.
Alongside this, reforms are continuing under the budget support programs. According to Maraghos, the EU is also trying to implement projects that will help create employment opportunities and added value in Armenia.
Armenian parliamentarians valued the cooperation between Armenia and the EU, emphasizing the effectiveness of the programs implemented in our country with EU support. The meeting also addressed the new package of priorities for Armenia-EU partnership currently under development.
