The Relationship Between Alen Simonian and Nikol Pashinyan Has Smoothed Out

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the relationship between Alen Simonian and Nikol Pashinyan seems to have smoothed out. Following the criminal case involving the brother of the Speaker of the National Assembly's wife, members of the ruling Civil Contract party stated that Simonian appeared to have isolated himself from the team, not participating in party meetings and missing several sessions of the party leadership that were chaired by Pashinyan.

However, just the day before, he attended a closed meeting and even made jokes. For instance, he suggested to Pashinyan not to hit the table while speaking, as sand timers were placed on it. Such strikes would cause the sand to flow more quickly, hence Pashinyan’s speaking time would diminish rapidly.

Sources from the media also report that after the famous incident, Pashinyan has tried several times to convince Simonian that nothing was done intentionally against him and urged him not to believe those claiming otherwise. He affirmed that he loves and respects him just as much, and that Kyaramyans' actions were not targeted at him.

Meanwhile, members of the Civil Contract party are laughing behind Simonian’s back at his naivety, and are surprised at Pashinyan’s cunning.
