Authorities Try to Win Over Artsakh Residents: 'Zhoghovurd'

‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper reports: ‘MPs from the ruling political party have begun individual meetings with forcibly displaced Artsakh residents. Specific parliament members regularly meet with Artsakh Armenians who have settled in various administrative districts.

According to sources, these meetings aim to assess the sentiments of the Artsakh residents and win them over, as it is no secret that the Artsakh Armenians hold a negative view towards the representatives of the Pashinyan government, which surrendered their homeland.

In essence, these meetings are primarily symbolic, intended to show the Artsakh people that the authorities are concerned about their plight. However, it remains a fact that to this day, the social issues faced by displaced Artsakh residents remain unresolved—they lack homes and jobs and do not have identification documents. Meanwhile, the relevant entities, rather than addressing the issues, are merely passing the buck on the applications submitted by the Artsakh residents.’
