Video: Gagik Melkonyan Confirms Explosion of Bomb Near His Home
Member of Parliament Gagik Melkonyan from the "Civil Contract" faction confirmed that a bomb exploded near his home. He stated, "It happened about 10 days ago. Law enforcement is still investigating; it was not at our house, but in our neighbor's yard. I have no suspicions. There was an explosion, the law enforcement arrived, checked everything, did all the necessary procedures, and an examination is being conducted. Nothing is known yet," he said.
It is recalled that on February 26, a warning was received that a bomb had been placed in the yard of the building at 30/3 Gulbenkian Street, which houses the office of the "Civil Contract" party. Fire-rescue and demining units also arrived at the scene. The entire area of the high-rise buildings was cordoned off. Later, the Chief of Police of Armenia, Aram Hovhannisyan, stated that what was found was not an explosive device but a "dummy," and it posed no danger.
