Hope for Progress: Pashinyan on the Meeting of Foreign Ministers

During a joint statement with the Prime Minister of Greece in Athens, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the discussion with Kyriakos Mitsotakis regarding the humanitarian needs of those displaced from Artsakh due to ethnic cleansing. He stated, “We are currently in the phase of making decisions about long-term programs. It is also important that if our compatriots do not have a realistic opportunity to return to Artsakh, our policy is to do everything possible to ensure that they remain in Armenia, and today we also discussed issues related to this situation.”

According to the Prime Minister, the regional and international situation was also a focal point of discussion. “I informed Prime Minister Mitsotakis about our efforts to achieve peace with Azerbaijan, detailing the existing problems, where we stand, and what challenges exist for further progress. Of course, you are aware that the next meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan is expected soon, and we must hope that it will be possible to record progress during that meeting,” Pashinyan said.
