During Negotiations, Aliyev Constantly Fired at Our Soldiers: Simonian

All actions must be mirror-like, and making demands is not the right rhetoric. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, during a briefing with reporters in the NA, responding to a question about whether Armenia would fulfill all the demands stated by Aliyev.

“At the time when negotiations were taking place, Aliyev was constantly firing at our soldiers to exert pressure. Aliyev introduced the term 'corridor,' and we later had a very hard time removing that term from circulation. Armenia will change its Constitution when it decides that something needs to be changed,” he said.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has declared that Armenia's only path is to accept all of Azerbaijan's conditions.
