We Do Not Care How Russia Will Respond or Not Respond: Melkonyan
If Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky decides to visit Armenia, then we must accept it, what issue do we have?
This was stated today by Gagik Melkonyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction, during a conversation with journalists.
When asked how Russia might respond to such a visit, the MP said, 'We do not care how Russia will respond or not respond; that is their business. We are interested in the interests of our country, and we must act according to how our national interests dictate.'
In response to the remark that during the 44-day war, Ukraine was sending 'phosphorus weapons' to Azerbaijan, Melkonyan questioned this claim. 'Can you prove that it was Ukraine that provided that? They themselves say that the weapons came from Russia. So, we have no grounds from either side,' he noted.
