VIDEO: Interior Minister on Transferring Azerbaijani Suspect in Armenian's Murder to Baku

I cannot answer that question until we have fully carried out our functions lawfully, we have made inquiries, responded, and have not delayed anything. This was stated today by Interior Minister Vahe Ghazaryan during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly, regarding the transfer of an Azerbaijani suspect in the murder of an Armenian, who is wanted internationally, to Baku within hours.

"This is a procedure from which we have not deviated. If they catch a criminal, they ask us an inquiry, and we respond whether he is actually wanted on our side or not. We are obligated to respond to such inquiries regarding all individuals for whom international warrants have been issued. The same applies to them. We received it on the same day and responded immediately," he said, without responding to the question of whether the Azerbaijani suspect had already been released at the moment when they sent their response to Russia.

"We have similar wanted individuals who have also been arrested and released, you are probably aware of that too. Well, the Russian side should address that," the minister noted.
