Biden: It Was Obvious Xi Jinping Would Be the Leader of Russia

During a speech at the National Governors Association, U.S. President Joe Biden confused Russia with China while discussing Chinese leader Xi Jinping. The video of Biden's speech was published on February 26 by Sky News Australia on their YouTube channel.

The American leader recalled his time as Vice President under Barack Obama, stating that he was advised to get to know Xi Jinping because he would lead Russia. “He wanted me to meet Xi Jinping... It was clear he would become the leader of Russia... At that time, we had issues with Russia and other countries,” Biden noted.

Additionally, the U.S. President shared that he has spent a significant amount of time with the President of China, stating that he traveled 27,000 kilometers across the United States and China with him.

Biden has repeatedly confused facts during public speeches. For example, on February 8, he mixed up the Presidents of Egypt and Mexico while trying to prove cognitive abilities and strength in running for a second term from the White House, mistakenly naming Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as the President of Mexico, which is led by Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

On the same day, he claimed to have spoken with former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl in 2021, who actually passed away in 2017, referring to the G7 summit. Biden mistakenly compared Angela Merkel with Kohl, who died four years prior to the summit.

A similar incident occurred on February 4, when the President confused French Presidents, referring to François Mitterrand instead of Emmanuel Macron, with Mitterrand having passed away in 1996.

At 81, Joe Biden is the oldest president in U.S. history, and his health has become a topic of ongoing discussion and concern among citizens. His unusual behavior and frequent mistakes lead many Americans to question his mental fitness.
