VIDEO: Anti-Government Protests in Major Israeli Cities; Police Use Water Cannons

Thousands of people have gathered near the headquarters of the Israel Defense Forces’ Central Command, according to The Times of Israel. Anti-government protests are taking place in Tel Aviv and other major cities in Israel. Security forces have deployed water cannons against the demonstrators.
In addition to calling for Prime Minister Netanyahu's resignation, the protesters are demanding the release of hostages held by Hamas and a diplomatic solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
During the protest on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv, 18 people were arrested for failing to comply with police orders.
