VIDEO. Artsakh is Lost. Whoever Comes to Power Must Speak This Painful Truth, Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan
What options are available to prevent anticipated dangerous developments and halt the collapse of the state? How can one rid themselves of the governing political force? These were the questions on the agenda during a discussion held at the socio-educational center in Gyumri, as reported by GALA TV.
Present at the discussion was the leader of the Shirak Diocese, Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan. According to him, whoever comes to power must address the truth regarding the irreversible loss of Artsakh.
In the archbishop's view, there are three possible scenarios for changing power, but all three are currently impossible. “Now we have surrendered; this truth starts from here. Whoever comes to power must speak this painful truth, otherwise, if we say, 'we are coming to take back Artsakh,' it would be a mistake. I have said it again, objectively, it is fully possible to take back Artsakh; it is also possible to take back Nakhichevan, Kars, and Ardahan. But you have to consider what situation you are in subjectively, and today, subjectively, you have the question of keeping Yerevan,” he stated.
