Protesting farmers stormed the agricultural exhibition in Paris, leading to clashes with police, reports a РИА Новости correspondent.

At the exhibition booth where President Emmanuel Macron had breakfast with union representatives earlier that morning, deafening whistles and shouts were heard. The angry crowd of farmers attempted to break through a police cordon.

Farmers clashed with officers, who pushed them to the ground, dismantling parts of the exhibition booths in the process. In retaliation, the protesters threw eggs at the police.

Several individuals were taken into custody.
