Yesterday, dozens of citizens forcibly displaced from Artsakh held a protest in the yard of a high-rise elite building near the "Youth" metro station, in front of the home of Artsakh hero, Hadrut resident General-Major Arthur Agabekyan.

In an interview with Oragir.News, co-founder of the public organization "Support for Artsakh Armenians" Hovik Mayilyan stated that since the recent events in September, the newly established organization has been providing primary assistance to the families of those who were killed in the last war and as a result of the explosion at a gasoline depot.

“According to our statutes and objectives, we considered it a priority to reach out to those individuals who have served in Artsakh and are in a stable financial situation and can somehow extend a helping hand to our people,” he said.

Mayilyan also mentioned that they have sent letters several times to Artsakh hero General-Major Arthur Agabekyan, but for various reasons, they have not been able to meet with him. “To be honest, we expected that our generals and heroes would rally us around some idea all this time so that our people do not feel alone during this difficult period,” he added.

Mayilyan also expressed gratitude to our compatriots in Armenia and the diaspora who have contributed funds for assistance. “Thanks to their donations, our public organization was able to help 260 families,” he noted.
