Vehicle Owners Must Have Bank Account to Sign Traffic Insurance Agreement

Starting April 1, vehicle owners will be required to have a bank account in any functioning bank in Armenia to sign a traffic insurance agreement. This was stated by the Bureau of Insurers of Armenia.

"For signing the traffic insurance agreement, the 'Account Number' field in the insurance certificate has been set as mandatory. Beginning April 1, 2024, it will be necessary to fill in the bank account belonging to the insured, opened in a bank operating in Armenia, in the 'Account Number' field of the insurance certificate," the statement said.

The bureau urges vehicle owners to open an account in any functioning bank in Armenia before signing the traffic insurance agreement.
