Navalny's Death Conclusion Indicates 'Natural Causes'

The reasons behind opposition politician Alexei Navalny's death are described as 'natural' according to a medical conclusion presented to the politician's mother, Lyudmila Navalnaya. This was reported on X by the politician's press secretary, Kira Yarmysh.

Yarmysh also informed the agency that the investigation has conducted an autopsy on Navalny's body. 'Yes, at least a substantiated medical conclusion is ready,' Yarmysh wrote in response to questions from reporters.

The press secretary of Navalny insists that investigators wish to manage the politician's burial independently 'to ensure that the burial takes place secretly, in a remote area, without a public farewell.' Yarmysh added that officials from the Investigative Committee are 'placing many conditions, and they are constantly changing.'

Navalny's mother has also spoken about how investigators allegedly demand the burial to take place secretly on the evening of February 22. 'They want it to happen quietly, without a farewell. They want to take me to the outskirts of the cemetery near a fresh grave and say, here lies your son. I do not agree to this. I want you, who hold Alexei dear, who found his death a personal tragedy, to have the chance to say goodbye to him,' stated Lyudmila Navalnaya.

According to Article 8 of the federal law 'On Burial and Funeral Affairs,' Navalny's body must be handed over to relatives within two days after establishing the cause of his death.
