He Gave His Clothes to Other Prisoners When He Learned He Would Be Coming to Armenia: Linda Euljekchyan

Linda Euljekchyan, the wife of Lebanese Armenian Vigen Euljekchyan, who has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in Baku, spoke to her husband via video conference last month. “We saw Vigen through video last month; he looked more comfortable. I was informed that Vigen is in the same prison but has been moved to a more suitable room,” Mrs. Linda stated in an interview with 'Hraparak'. She noted that her husband's condition was better than during the previous visit, and he had even gained a bit of weight.

Vigen asked for clothes from her. “He had given his clothes to other prisoners when he found out that he would soon be returning to Armenia with a group of detainees, so he was essentially left without clothing. He asked me for new clothes, some of his favorite foods, and for our pictures,” his wife said.

Employees of the Red Cross informed Vigen’s wife that he currently has no health issues. However, Vigen requested his wife to also send him medications that he receives from the Red Cross.
