Armenian Prosecutor's Office Receives Documents for the Extradition of Wanted Azerbaijani National

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia has today received a package of documents regarding the extradition of a wanted Azerbaijani citizen, who was recently discovered by law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation. This was reported by Lusine Martirosyan, advisor to the Prosecutor General of Armenia.

The specified package, along with the extradition request compiled by the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia, has just been sent to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

It is worth recalling that the Azerbaijani coach Kanil Zeynalov, who was arrested in Moscow at Armenia's request, has been released thanks to the efforts of the Azerbaijani government. According to Azerbaijani sources, he will return to Baku.

Zeynalov is under an international arrest warrant for murder. Notably, this Azerbaijani national had decapitated an Armenian in Artsakh in 2020 and shared the photo on his social networks. He was apprehended at Domodedovo Airport.
