Roads Closed in Armenia Due to Weather Conditions

The Rescue Service has reported that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

Due to road repair works until March 5, the section of the M-6 highway from Vanadzor to Alaverdi, at approximately kilometers 38-40, will be closed for buses and heavy vehicles with trailers. A detour will be operational through the town of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatsotn province, the roads from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are also closed.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
