Iran's Oil Minister Blames Israel for Recent Pipeline Explosions
Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji has accused Israel of being behind recent explosions targeting gas pipelines. Owji described the incidents as a deliberate act orchestrated by Israel aimed at disrupting Iran's gas supply in major provinces. However, the Iranian official did not present any evidence to support his claims.
Israeli authorities, as is customary, have not commented on the allegations. The explosions occurred on February 14, leading to significant issues with gas supply in at least five provinces of Iran. The Iranian state gas company classified the events as 'diversionary and terrorist actions.'
A report by the New York Times on February 16, citing two Western officials and a military expert linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that Israel was behind the pipeline explosions.
