White House Refuses to Comment on Possibility of Not Recognizing Russian Presidential Election Results
The White House's National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, John Kirby, has declined to comment on calls for Washington to not recognize the results of the presidential elections in Russia. This was reported by TASS.
During an online press briefing, he was asked whether the U.S. administration is prepared to take such a step in light of calls from Alexei Navalny's wife, Yulia Navalnaya. "I have nothing for you on that," Kirby replied.
As emphasized by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin considers the Western statements regarding Navalny's death to be reckless and absolutely unacceptable, given that there is still no information about the reasons for the incident.
