Nikol Pashinyan Sends Sinanyan to Paris

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision on February 20 to send Zareh Sinanyan, the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, and Karen Avanesyan, the head of the Diaspora Potential Mapping and Engagement Department of the Office of the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, to France.

According to the decision, based on Article 7, Part 5 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, and considering the Prime Minister’s orders No. 1230-N dated September 19, 2018, and No. 1239-N dated November 8, 2018, Zareh Sinanyan will travel from February 22 to 28, 2024 (Paris to Lyon on February 22-23,Valence on February 23, Marseille on February 23-26, Nice on February 26-28) and Karen Avanesyan will travel from February 21 to 28, 2024 (Paris on February 21-22, Lyon on February 22-23, Valence on February 23, Marseille on February 23-26, Nice on February 26-28) to the French Republic.

The purpose of the trip is to meet with local Armenian organizations, Armenian cultural and business figures, and officials of the French Republic to discuss further avenues of cooperation.

The expenses related to Zareh Sinanyan’s and Karen Avanesyan’s trip to the French Republic will be covered by the resources allocated for foreign official trips under the “Work with Diaspora Communities” program of the Prime Minister’s Office in the state budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2024.

The Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs is required to submit the legally mandated reports to the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia within three working days after returning from the trip.
