Russian Relocants Prepare Various Provocations Abroad Ahead of Presidential Elections, Russian Foreign Ministry
Russian relocants are preparing to carry out various provocations abroad ahead of the presidential elections in Russia. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador for special assignments, Gennady Askaldoich, during a meeting at the Central Election Commission of Russia dedicated to the preparations for the 2024 presidential elections.
The information was reported by TASS. “The activity of these so-called relocants poses a serious problem for us, especially among those who hold negative views towards the current president. It is clear that not all relocants are our enemies. Many of them are largely apolitical and have already returned to their homeland, while the rest occupy extremely anti-Russian positions and, as we know, are preparing to carry out various provocations before and during the elections,” the diplomat stated, also noting that the aggressive attitude of the relocants has intensified after the rejection of presidential candidate Boris Nadezhdin’s registration.
“We are conducting extensive informational work among patriotic citizens, asking for their assistance in preventing the extreme protests by the relocants whenever possible,” Askaldoich added.
The presidential elections in Russia are scheduled for March 17.
