Pashinyan's Statement Is Not Against Russia and Is Not In Favor of Ukraine: Papoyan

The Prime Minister's statement on defending territorial integrity is not against Russia and does not favor Ukraine; it is for Armenia. This was stated by Gevorg Papoyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract party, during a conversation with journalists, commenting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement in Munich that Armenia is not an ally of Russia regarding the issue of Ukraine.

“If we talk about someone else's territorial integrity, it means we are talking about our own territorial integrity. If you question someone's territorial integrity, it means it is very legitimate for a third party to question your territorial integrity as well. This nuance must be understood and taken into account. There could not have been any other context here,” he said.

Papoyan reiterated Pashinyan's assertion that Russia and Azerbaijan have violated the points of the November 9 agreement. “As for the points of the November 9 declaration that concern Armenia, Armenia has fulfilled all its obligations, but unfortunately, regarding Azerbaijan and Russia, they have largely not been fulfilled. Therefore, it is very strange for us when they speak about the November 9 agreement when they have violated all the points,” he added.
