Snow and Fog: Road Closures in Armenia

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

Until March 5, due to road repair works, the section of the M-6 highway from Vanadzor to Alaverdi will be closed for buses and heavy vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers between kilometers 38-40. A detour will be in place through the town of Noyemberyan.

In Aragatsotn Province, the roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Kar Lake are closed.

In the city of Goris, snow is falling. In the "Meghri Mountain" area, there is fog in the cities of Goris and Kapan.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
